To nurture potential and talented photographers, the Hong Kong Photo Contest 2023 invites entries from photography enthusiasts worldwide.

《國家地理》雜誌主辦、會德豐呈獻 : 香港攝影大賽連續第七年舉行，本年度攝影大賽的組別分為「風景、生態、城市、人物、歷史建築及手機」，鼓勵參加者發揮創意，以嶄新視野發掘城市、人文、歷史及大自然之美、生活點滴或觸動人心的人和事。參加者可以使用相機或手機拍攝，以相片訴說香港故事，透過影像將香港的獨特魅力以更受注目的方式呈現給世界。 Organized by National Geographic Magazine (Traditional Chinese Edition) and presented by Wheelock Properties, the annual photography contest has been scheduled for the seventh time in a row. This year's categories are landscape, wildlife, city, people, historic building, and mobile photography, aiming to stimulate creativity and encourage contestants to uncover the beauty of the city, people, and nature, and heartwarming tales from a brand-new perspective. Whether taken with a camera or mobile phone, entries should spotlight the unique glamour of Hong Kong.

大會希望透過這年度攝影盛事，提升各參加者的攝影技術水平，並與國際標準相媲美，大賽期間將舉辦攝影工作坊及講座，由資深攝影師親身指導，以提升參加者的攝影技巧，亦會凝聚攝影愛好者，互相交流攝影經驗與心得。首先將於10月12日由生態攝影師蘇毅雄（Samson So）與風景攝影師劉兆景（Anthony Lau）主講的「得獎作品評析」（線上直播活動）；第二場將10月28日由著名建築攝影師鄭振揚（Tugo Cheng）帶領「歷史建築攝影工作坊」；第三場將於11月19日由風景攝影師阮智堅（Carlo Yuen）帶領「風景攝影工作坊」。 Through this annual photography contest, we hope to thrust photographers' skills to a level comparable to international standards. Renowned photographers will host workshops and talks during the Contest to improve contestants' skills while bringing photography lovers together to share their experiences and insight. First, on October 12th, there will be a "Award-winning Works Analysis" seminar, hosted by the ecological photographer Samson So and the landscape photographer Anthony Lau. This will be an online live broadcast event. Second, on October 28th, the renowned architectural photographer Tugo Cheng will lead a "Historic Architecture Photography Workshop." Third, on November 19th, the landscape photographer Carlo Yuen will lead a "Landscape Photography Workshop."

The historic architecture is not only a part of the urban landscape but also a repository of memories, a testament to the blend of Chinese and Western cultures in Hong Kong, and a reflection of our social values. 古物諮詢委員會主席蘇彰德教授提及：「非常高興今屆香港攝影大賽新增『歷史建築』組別，透過攝影可以發掘及紀錄香港繁多歷史建築背後的價值和意義，以及周遭環境的故事。『2023古蹟周遊樂暨巡迴展覽』由即日起至十二月舉行，巡迴展覽將介紹十個與綠化及園境相關的法定古蹟和已獲評級歷史建築，承載豐富的歷史内涵和擁有獨特的建築特色，亦與所在或周邊的綠化園境及大自然有深厚的聯繫。」 Professor Douglas So, the Chairman of the Antiquities Advisory Board mentioned, "I am delighted that the 'Historic Architecture' category has been added to this year's Hong Kong Photo Contest. Through photography, we can discover and document the value and significance behind the diverse historical buildings in Hong Kong, as well as the stories of the surrounding environment. The '2023 Heritage Fiesta cum Roving Exhibition' will be held from now until December 2023, featuring 10 designated monuments and graded historic buildings related to greening and landscaping, not only embrace rich history and unique architectural merits, but also closely tie to the green landscape and nature where they are located or in their surroundings.”

《國家地理》雜誌主辦、會德豐呈獻 : 香港攝影大賽 2023現正接受全球16歲或以上 的攝影愛好者報名參加。大賽設有六個組別，分別為「風景」、「生態」、「 城市」、「人物」、「歷史建築」及「手機組」。由即日起至2023年12月5日， 參賽者可以將攝影作品上載到www.hkphotocontest.com，得獎者將獲得豐富獎品總值港幣十萬，各組別冠、亞、季軍作品將有機會被刊登於《國家地理》雜誌中文版，與台、港、澳、星、馬數十萬讀者分享，並於公開展覽中展出。 Hong Kong Photo Contest 2023 is now accepting entries from 16-year-old and above photography enthusiasts. The Contest is divided into six categories: Landscape, Wildlife, City, People, Historic Architecture, and Mobile Photography. From now until December 5rd, 2023, contestants can upload their works onto www.hkphotocontest.com. The winners will receive prizes worth up to HKD100,000. In addition, winning works from each category will have a chance to be featured in the National Geographic Magazine Traditional Chinese Edition, which is distributed to more than 100,000 readers in five markets including Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, and Singapore.

• 生態：香港生態環境無論陸地及海底也孕育豐富生物多樣性，透過相片能引起公眾對野生動植物的認識和對保育的關注。 Wildlife: Explore Hong Kong's natural beauties and wildlife wonders.
• 城市：勾劃都市輪廓，發掘城市的潛力及生活脈搏，能帶出香港城市魅力的作品。 City: Cityscapes, images depicting underlying potential and pulses of city lives, and photos that capture the charms of the metropolitan Hong Kong city.
• 人物：個人特寫、日常生活，觸動人心、呈現香港精神的人和事。 People: Portraits, everyday encounters, photos with stories, and Hong Kong spirit.
• 歷史建築：歷史建築不僅是城市景觀，也是集體回憶，是香港中西文化薈萃和社會價值的見證（限香港法定古蹟及古物諮詢委員會評定之一級、二級與三級歷史建築）。 Historic Architecture: Historic architecture is not only part of the urban landscape but also a collection of memories. It serves as a testament to the rich blend of Chinese and Western cultures and embodies the societal values in Hong Kong. (Hong Kong's Declared Monuments and historical buildings evaluated by the Antiquities Advisory Board, which include Grade I, Grade II, and Grade III.)
• 手機：通過手機拍攝以上各項主題。 Mobile Photography: Photographs taken by mobile phone on the above themes.
